The Master’s Children

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.  If you were of the world, the world would love its own.  Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.  Remember the word that I said to you, A servant is not greater than his master.  If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.  If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.  But all these things they will do to you for My names’ sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.  He who hates Me hates My Father also.  If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.  But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, “They hated Me without a cause.”

But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will  testify of Me.  And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.” (John 15:18-27)

The earthly ministry of Jesus Christ was rife with controversy.  The most resistance He got was from religious people.  Religion is a favorite environment for the religious spirit to operate in.  It blinds people to the real truth that it is in the personal relationship with the Father, through Jesus Christ, that is the real worship and service to God.  Religion has no life in it.  It is just dry and lifeless do’s and don’ts that give a false sense of eternal security.

Real worship of the Father is not about your outward appearance.  It is about what is in your heart.  Is God’s love in your heart or is it filled with anger, rage, bitterness and pride?  Pride is one of the deadly seven sins that God hates.  Pride is like religion in that it gives a false sense of eternal security.  Pride is unteachable, rigid and unyielding to the Spirit of God.  God resists pride.

When Jesus came up out of the waters of baptism in the Jordan river, it was on between Him and the enemy.  He overcame him in the wilderness, He overcame him throughout His ministry and most importantly–He overcame in on the Cross!  Jesus followed the directions of the Holy Spirit everywhere He went.  He is our example of how we are to walk out this Christian walk.  We too, are to follow the instructions of the Holy Spirit.  He is our Helper, our Comforter and our Teacher.

What happens when we follow Him like Jesus did?  We become our Master’s children–we will be hated by the world.  The violent persecution of the believers of Jesus Christ has never been seen in the modern era as it is being seen these days.  Why now?  Because Satan knows that his time is almost up before he has to go to the lake of fire.  He is feverishly trying to destroy every trace of Jesus Christ in the earth by killing and deceiving His people.  But what happens is that great persecution actually fans the flames of revival in the Church of Jesus Christ.  We are seeing the last great outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the earth because of the terrible persecution.

We are seeing people flooding into Washington DC to pray for the nation.  The people of God are getting serious about God and crying out for mercy on the nation of America.  I don’t know what God has planned for America, but I do know that He is not deaf to the heart cries of His people.

Beloved, make the decision today to follow the instructions of the Holy Spirit like Jesus did.  Yes the world will hate you, but the rewards of following Him are eternal.  You will be  one of the Master’s children.

Blessings everyone…
