“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people.)” (Ephesians 6:18)
Prayer is the cell phone plan of Heaven. It is THE communication tool to get to God. The entire subject of prayer is vast and can be broken down into multiple levels. It would take an eternity to learn all there is to learn about prayer.
Multiple volumes of books have been written on the subject of prayer. We really don’t have an excuse NOT to learn about prayer because God has spoken to people down through the ages about different facets of prayer through these books. The Bible is full of scriptures on prayer and examples of prayer by great men and women of faith.
As important as it is to LEARN about prayer, it is even more important to dive in and start doing it. Your prayers don’t just leave your mouth and fall to the ground. Heartfelt, faith-filled prayer reaches the very heart of God! Heaven is activated into your situation through this kind of prayer. Get real with God because He is real. The Bible says that “the fervent, heartfelt prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available.” Right in our own mouth is this power. Think about it.
The first word in this scripture is “pray” and it is a VERB. A verb is an activity to perform. Beloved, you have no idea what God is doing with every single word you speak out in faith-filled prayer. Your prayers are seeds that will produce a plant that will bear fruit. The Bible says in Proverbs to “cast your bread on the waters and after many days it will return to you.” Your prayers are your bread. Go ahead! Let God use YOUR prayers to change things in your world AND beyond into His world!
