“And he further told me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book and make no secret of them, for the time when things are brought to a crisis and the period of their fulfillment is near. He who is unrighteous (unjust, wicked), let him be unrighteous still; and he who is filthy (vile, impure), let him be filthy still; and he who is righteous (just, upright), let him do right still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.
Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his work merit. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. Blessed are those who cleanse their garments, they may have the authority and right to approach the tree of life and to enter through the gates into the city.” (Revelation 22:12-14)
Ever since the Apostle John wrote the book of Revelation way back when, the words of this prophecy have not been hidden from our ability to understand them. With the Lord, a thousand years is as one day and one day as a thousand years. All this time, things have happened and are even now happening in the world bringing it ever closer to the crisis point.
The Lord says “let the unrighteous be unrighteous still…let the righteous be righteous still.” What does this mean? He is looking for the ones who truly love Him and gladly worship Him and serve Him. You can’t make someone love someone else. They either do or they don’t. God wants the FREELY GIVEN love and worship of people.
We’ve all seen the movies of the rich guy or girl who wants someone to love them for themselves and not for the money. So they act poor to attract true love. Of course, we know that God isn’t pretending to be something He’s not. But He still wants true love.
He has done everything to ensure we have every opportunity to come to Him and accept His love and salvation. He gave His Son to pay for our sins, He sent His Holy Spirit to empower us to live victoriously here on Earth until we are called home to be with Him forever. Everybody has the same opportunity to have a relationship with Him.
The Word says “This day I set before you: life or death. Choose life.” Life will continue to go on until the end of all things is here and the opportunity to choose life ends. The unrighteous will stay unrighteous unless he or she repents. The vile and impure will stay vile and impure and the righteous and holy will continue to watch and pray and look for His appearing.
Lord I want to be in that number who are found faithfully waiting for Your call!
Don’t know Him?
