As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love..” (John 15:9)
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Through Him, we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:2-5)
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” (I John 3:1)
What is an “image bearer?” It’s a representative of someone very important. Who is more important than the Creator of the Universe—God.?
Genesis 1:26 says “God said, Let Us (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.”
From the very beginning, God purposed in His heart for US to be His image bearers. That was His original intent for every human being ever born. What happened? Satan stole away the identity of man when Adam and Eve rebelled against God. They lost their identity as God’s very own image bearers. This loss was passed on to every human being since that moment. But God had a plan…
Even BEFORE God created man; when we were all still in His heart, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, made the decision to redeem all mankind BACK to the original condition before the fall of Adam. Yes, there was no way Abba Father was going to let us just go into the same destruction reserved for Satan and the rest of the rebel spirits! We are just too precious and valuable to Him.
Revelation 13:8 says “And all the inhabitants of the earth will fall down in adoration and pay him (the Beast) homage, everyone whose name has not been recorded in the Book of Life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.”
Every human being ever born, no matter how wicked, bad, hateful or evil; is still loved by God. Yes, that is right. God LOVES everyone equally. His heart is that big! The proof of God’s love is in Romans 5:8 “But God shows and clearly proves His own love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Jesus took our place in the eyes of God. When God looks at a follower of Jesus, He only sees His blood covering us. He does not see any sin in us! We become clean and we enter the Kingdom of God. That is the best news ever!
The moment we accept Jesus into our heart, we are changed from a sinner to a saint. Our sins are gone and we are born anew. The old man is dead and we are alive to Christ. What does this mean? It means we have a “do over” from God! A clean slate to begin a whole new way of life that is full of hope, love, and peace. Are there problems? Sure there are problems, but now we have the SOLUTION! God has a wonderful ability to make all things new.
We are now the Image Bearers of our God and King Jesus Christ. We are His representatives on the earth. We must tell others where to find what we have found.
There are so many people who have NO hope. They are living in darkness and despair. For many, they escape with drugs or alcohol. Others escape with pornography or sex. Why not bring your life to the One Who gave it all for you? Think no one loves you? Think again…There is One who went to Hell and back so you wouldn’t have to. Yes…that is Jesus Christ.
If you are reading this and in a dark place with no way out, there is hope in Jesus Christ. There really is. If you are reading this and your life is good, but something is still missing, let Jesus fill your “God Spot.” Everyone has a place in their heart that is reserved for God. He is the only One who fits perfectly. Call on Him today. It is the best decision you’ll make in your life.
